Sean Williams

With over 20 years of marketing experience in Canada, the US, the Middle East and Australia, I have a unique view on human behaviour, marketing trends and shifts, and brand engagement. Having worked in sales and marketing roles for two of Canada’s top brands – MolsonCoors and Nikon - I was involved in national marketing and sales initiatives, along with channel marketing, product development, distribution, supply chain management and employee engagement.

On the agency side – in firms based in Toronto and Halifax – I developed and executed a variety of branding and marketing efforts for companies such as Canon, Kraft, CIBC, Dare, Toyota and Bell Aliant. As an independent consultant, I have developed brand and marketing strategies for organizations in retail, higher education, automotive, IT, SaaS, and tourism. My approach to any project would be labeled 'strategy down'. Success or results are only achieved by having a strong and solid strategy that's linked to a well thought-out list of KPIs. I also believe that an strategy should be tied to human or customer insights. Ensuring a company gains perspective from all those that touch their organization is key.

I am very involved in the entrepreneurial and startup community in Canada. I volunteer my time with a variety of organizations and companies in Ontario and Atlantic Canada. I'm an active speaker on the topic of branding, and have presented at conferences and post-secondary institutions across the country.
