I am a globally experienced design leader and product designer / strategist with a focus on user experience and product innovation. I work primarily in early stage companies, from Zero to One startups to Series B+ scale-ups to big ‘M’ media corporations and have experience in these environments as both advisor and practitioner. That means I can both work with investors and executives at a strategic level - but also deliver something tangible and real that will deliver results. Design is key to product and business success - good user experience and communication now needs to be core to any organisation, and I’m experienced in incubating these needs, and the teams to support it, in a wide range of organisations. Design is also a global language, and I have experience of delivering Design from London to New York, Toronto, San Francisco and Los Angeles into both difficult demographics (18-25) and later adoption curve demographics (35-55+). In the past five years I’ve focused on high-growth, high-profile-in-TechCrunch startups, leading Design and Product strategy, building high-talent, high-performing global teams, crafting remote strategies and processes, telling product stories to WIRED and the tech-press, and aiding in the raise of big ‘C’ capital (Seed to Series D) from funds such as Balderton, Kinect, Index and Connect Ventures. My CV reads like a Swiss army knife of hard-won full-stack skills, and I’m happy to use any combination of them to generate revenue, product and market fit - or simply to make teams and users happy.

I work best in the world of transformation - be that an early stage company trying to take over the world with their product, a later stage company that is trying to disrupt a market or its competition or a mid stage company that is trying to work out how to scale quickly in a global market. Product strategy and its Design is key to market success, as is attracting and building talent pipelines. I work with newly formed and established teams to place design and product thinking at the core of the culture, making it accessible to everyone and sustainable in the long term. Successful products are about building customer funnels, creating great, confident on boarding experiences, delivering great product environments for users to inhabit, and designing solid retention processes and CRM. I work across all of these areas in a cohesive manner, from messaging to marketing to product design, strategy, UX and comms - and I work at my best being able to work across this broad spectrum.
