I grew up on the South Shore of Boston before moving to Montreal back in 1999, making my hockey loyalties a complicated affair. Since graduating from McGill University with a BA in English Cultural Studies, I’ve worked as an editor and technical writer for major Hollywood studios like Disney, CBS and Lionsgate; a contributing writer for a variety of Arts & Culture magazines including ION, Beautiful/Decay and Under Pressure; and a copywriter for a variety of corporate clients and smaller collectives. My first book, Black Sheep: An unconventional look at good ol' family values, was released in 2010. I like the ocean, the Sunday New York Times Crossword, globe-trotting, Gothic novels, the Oxford comma, and my lordly Chihuahua, Faux Mulder.
Karyn's Best Fit
Creative agencies, media outlets, galleries, niche brands and collectives who are passionate about what they do and know the value of finding the perfect words to convey that passion to their audience. I especially love working on anything focusing on street-centric art, culture and fashion; food and chef culture; travel; film and television; and real estate.
Whether it’s producing web content, penning marketing materials or polishing technical documents, I’m here to help you put your best phrase forward.
