I am a veteran in the online space; I have practically lived there for over 15 years. I have spent the better part of a decade, working with new technologies and refining my penchant for all things web. Always up for a challenge, my journey has led me from developing web applications for varying industries, point of sales systems, to building online games, creating e-learning software and web frameworks.
In 2008, I joined IC Axon a leader in the pharmaceutical e-learning industry. During this period, I was responsible for leading the programming group in achieving the largest interactive project to date: “a virtual arcade”, of interactive games translated into 6 languages scored and hosted on a private network for one of their biggest clients, Abbott Laboratories. I developed and introduced new frameworks allowing for more flexible and scalable product use as well as provided technical input and creative ideas for proposed e-learning applications.
I have worked and consulted with various startups, I am actively involved with the ongoing development of Vote Compass, a platform whose backend I architected and was able to scale from handling 10 – 50k responses when it first launched to handling over 1 million responses presently. The platform is now used globally during election periods in Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Germany and France.
